Lizette Lugo was born in Puerto Rico in 1956. Her artisitic expression spans painting, drawing and printmaking being the printing technique the one she mostly excelled. A graduate of the Universidad de Sagrado Corazón (Santurce, P.R., 1979) and the San Juan Art League, she was awarded first and third prize in the prints category in 1987 and 1983 respectively. She established her own gallery, Sala de Arte (1994-1999), in Old San Juan, P.R.
