Galuszka studied at Syracuse University and graduated from the Tyler School of Art of Temple University with an MFA in 1972. During his time at Temple University, Galuszka was a Fulbright Scholar and studied in Romania from 1969-70.

Galuszka’s works have been shown in over 26 solo exhibitions, including ten one-person shows between 1982 and 2002, and over 60 group exhibitions. Currently, he teaches painting at the University of California is Santa Cruz. Prior to this, he taught at numerous institutions including the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and the Tyler School of Art in both Rome and Philadelphia.
