Christ sits above the chaotic scene of the Last Judgment, surrounded by the apostles, saints and Old Testament prophets. Below, in the great confused mass of people, angels direct the blessed to Christ’s right side, and thus to heaven, and herd the damned to the left towards Hell. In the foreground, the dead emerge from their graves in order to be judged.
