Monique Barbier-Mueller (1930?- ) inherited a famous collection of non-western art and classical antiquities begun by her father Josef Mueller in 1907. She and her husband Jean-Paul Barbier-Mueller founded the Barbier-Mueller Museum in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1977. They later founded the Barbier-Mueller Museum of Pre-Colombian Art in 1997, in the Nadal Palace across from the Picasso Museum in Barcelona, Spain.
