Warrick is a Boston-based painter and printmaker. She studied at the Massachusetts College of Art and at Lesley College in Cambridge, MA. She is recognized for her vibrant quilt-like paintings. She finds inspiration in ordinary things and encourages her viewers to find deeper meaning in her art. Warrick believes that the landscapes she creates are understood by viewers through an “internal knowledge” that is rooted in the collective consciousness. In this artwork, Where You Are., she applies several layers of paint and graphite to create a sense of pictorial depth and the illusion of an inviting mystical space. The upper half displays a landscape with a reflecting lake, and the bottom half features a tree on a hill with the text, “Begin where you are.”
