This five-color lithograph was issued to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia. In this and his other works, Rohrer seeks to express the spirit of a landscape rather than a direct representation. Rubbings taken from the bark of trees were used to create much of the texture of this print.
