Fifteen years ago, on New Year’s day the EZLN [Zapatista Army of National Liberation] declared war on the Mexico taking over the town of San Cristobal de las Casas in Chiapas in an attempt to start a revolution in Mexico. In the face of the North American Free Trade Agreement, the Zapatistas took up arms against the Mexican government with the aim of taking President Carlos Salinas de Gortari and the PRI [Institutional Revolutionary Party] out of power to restore legitimacy and stability to Mexico. This poster was created to commemorate the struggle of the Zapatistas and their perseverance to create a world where many worlds fit.
