Nanette Clark is a Philadelphia-based artist and sculptor whose work is inspired by various cultural traditions. She utilizes strong colors, cross-cultural symbols and intricate patterns to portray the philosophical idea of a spiritual journey. In this composition, she creates a three-dimensional abstract landscape by layering vibrantly-colored patterned paper, marked by thick rugged edges and undulating lines. She encourages viewers to explore the visual relationships between the flowing patterns and forms.
