El Derecho al Pan utilizes rounded curved forms in the face and torso of the young Indian girl. Eating a piece of bread, with wheat stalks in the background, the girl is smiling and happy. It is a celebratory image of youth and sustenance, as well as a political one that advocates everyone’s right to have food to eat.
